"You, and not the state of You—a HuaLian Mix'n'Match" event!An event that aims to bring together and celebrate the various forms of Xie Lian and Hua Cheng from the novel, Heaven Official's Blessing (Tian Guan Ci Fu) by Mo Xiang Tong Xiu.What is a Mix’n’Match event?Xie Lian and Hua Cheng have been through multiple stages in their lives, used different alter egos, and wore masks and disguises during the 800 years. The event means to explore the possible dynamics between these different hualian forms.All works are appreciated and are welcome, including but not limited to fanart, fanfiction, fanedits, cosplay, photoshoots of dolls or other DIY creations.How to take part in the event?Pick one version of Xie Lian (e.g. General Hua) and one from Hua Cheng (e.g. Hua Cheng’s fisherman disguise from BlackWater Arc) that are dear to your heart, imagine them interacting and start creating!
When creating the matches, sticking to the canon timeline (Wuming x Calamity Lian or Ghost King Hua Cheng x FangXin Guoshi) is okay too.ORSpin the wheel to make a match!Please note there are two wheels, one based on the original version of TGCF (webnovel or 7Seas release) and another that includes content from the revised version of TGCF. This event is hualian-only. This means we can't accept works that break the ship, involve them in past relationships or polyamory. Side characters and sideships are welcome as long as the focus of your creation remains on hualian's various forms and their interactions.All submissions must be your own, please refrain from plagiarizing or reposting others' works and don't use AI.We accept SFW and NSFW works as well. However, we kindly ask you to use warnings, tags, and filters—especially when it comes to potentially triggering content.Certain pairings (featuring animal forms or child forms) must be strictly SFW.Animals must take human form to be involved in NSFW situations.Similarly, if you make a character participate in NSFW situations, indicate the character is of age (e.g. use aged-up soldier!Hong-er, etc.).When posting your work, make sure you use the appropriate hashtag, we have different ones for general (#hualianmixmatch) and not-safe-for-work (#hualianmixmatch18) content. The event account will retweet both, we simply made this distinction for people who might wish to mute or exclude either from searches.Addition based on FAQs: The event is open to anyone as long as the fancreations meet the rules above. You don't need to participate in every day or submit for every prompt (you might not want to use the prompts at all).
